Consistency vs cyclic !!

Since its the mad frenzied cricket season, why dont i ask your preferences. Do you like a consistent rahul dravid or a sporadic sehwag ?

Looking back on all the times when i remember the famour quote that has quite stuck in my mind, "Only change is constant". I wish, if we all could apply this to our lives every day.
Do you remember, there was once a show on TV where the main character had some magical power to change his job every episode. So, thematically, every new episode used to be the same character in a completely different job, from being doctor to a politician, and the best part being, he was completely aware that he was a politician yesterday and is doctor today and could easily compare lives and reflect.

Living life in phases with ample crests and troughs is the way to live a happening life, I personally dislike a constant high or a constant low and neither a constant middle. Shifting positions keeps pushing you in different directions, and keeps your mind working. And the middle levels are to relax :)

Dropping from a freaking awesome performer to the most unwanted guy in the crowd, is seriously an experience which everyone should encounter and not even once, many many times till the end comes.

  1. Last line - out of personal experience? Do you remember the name of the TV show? It was not I dream of Jeannie, by any chance, right?

And I absolutely love your thoughts on having a constant change. Indian society is all about stability and "settling" in life. I like the unsettlement, the constant upheaval, the continuous evolution.

Once, Shekhar Kapur said "I want a career that cannot be defined. I want it to be fluid and moving."

P.S - When was Rahul Dravid kicked out of the team? And why?

  2. It was some show on SAB TV with pankaj kapoor in lead role.

And as per my sense, rahul dravid was never kicked and hence mentioned as the symbol of consistence !! The one with ups and downs is sehwag !!

  3. :) But Rahul never retired from the team. He just stopped being a part of the team.

That Pankaj Kapoor idea is innovative!
